... barbecues, carnivals, picnics, concerts, baseball games, political dialogues and ceremonies, and an array of other festivities, both public and private, commemorating the history, government, and culture of the United States.
Most individuals celebrate the 4th of July in the United States, however they do not know the reason the holiday is really important to the country. In the years leading up to 1776 Great Britain had colonists in a situation where they had to follow many rules and pay extremely high taxes. Persons were angry and started to make plans in regards to having their own rules. They decided that they were not going to let Great Britain continue to tell them what to do, so they made up their minds to tell Great Britain that they were going to become an independent country, so they could take care of themselves, make their own rules and be able to provide their own needs.
The actual decree that was signed which made the United States of America independent, The Declaration of Independence stands as a symbol for all of the things that Americans, believe in. It took the persons that signed the Declaration of Independence an immense amount of bravery to do because they could have been hung for treason. This act of bravery is a symbol that is used to as a reminder that courage is frequently needed at times when your freedom may be threatened. The Declaration of Independence stands for the right to freedom of religion without discrimination and the capability to think and do for you. It is also a symbol of individuals being able to live in a country that is managed by their own people and every person well being in that country is just as important as any other individual.
The 4th of July is commemorated for several reasons. It has to do with how an independent United States of America being born as well as the sacrifice made by many persons in order for the country’s independence to come into play. The United States, as a nation, celebrates the fact that they want all their people to continue to be free. It is therefore recognized that without the bravery and valor of those individuals that came before us, the freedom that is available to Americans may not have existed today.
Today, it is celebrated that the United States is a free nation that is no longer under the regulations of Great Britain. Instead, there is much more to the festivities of their independence than the birthday of the United States. There are actually many goals and ideas that are represented in this annual celebration. Independence Day is more than just an opportunity for family and friends throughout the country to get together for barbecues and fireworks displays; it is however a yearly commemoration to celebrate the bravery and faith of the founding fathers in their quest for freedom. All of the effort and ideas that went into the document, which made it the Declaration of Independence and also the courage it took for these people to stand up for what they believed in order to achieve independence.
